About Shi Xinning - A Chinese artist

Xinning Shi was born in 1969 in Liaoning Province, China. Trained in China, Shi Xinning paintings are influenced by both social realism and European styles. The authority of both qualities, Shi embarks on history painting with a twist. Taking their pictures from iconic images Press, Shi canvases faithfully represent the world as we know, the Yalta Conference in familiar sepia tone 40, the queen mother in a car decorated in newspaper black and white. It is only at second glance that Shi changes are evident. Located between Churchill and Franklin D. Roosevelt and chatting happily with royalty, Mao takes his place among the great leaders of the 20 century.
