Theme rooms tacky?
Are theme rooms tacky? I am really into art history and I found some websites that have pictures of famous artists and pillows with famous paintings on them. That inspired me to do a whole room in my house in this theme. I also love literature and was thinking of doing something similar with this. There are a lot of great catalogs and websites to buy things like wall hangings and dishes, vases, lamps, sculptures, knick knacks, etc. with these themes. So, would that be tacky or cool? What would you think of a room like that?
I have a "bear"guest room. I just meant to have a pillow, a picture and a couple of small bears. I wanted them to be realistic. But once people find out you have a theme they always want to contribute - then came the cartoonish things such as stuffed animals and toys. I had to put the word out that I would do the decorating.
